Pittsburgh Pride 2024 illuminates the vibrant LGBTQ+ community in the Steel City, renowned for its inclusivity and support.

Organized by local groups including TransYOUniting, Pittsburgh Pride is a beacon in the Rust Belt’s revival, celebrating the legacy of activism and unity within the community. 

This year's celebration, spanning from May 31 to June 2, promises a rich tapestry of events showcasing the diverse expressions of pride.

Friday, May 31, 2024: The Opening Celebration - Pittsburgh Pride begins with an opening celebration at Allegheny Commons Park West from 2 PM to 8 PM. Attendees will enjoy performances from over 30 local artists, including the acclaimed First Ladies of Disco and Riley Knoxx, celebrated as the nation’s premier Beyoncé impersonator. This event sets the tone for a weekend of reflection, celebration, and advocacy.

Saturday, June 1, 2024: Pittsburgh Pride March + Celebration - The Pride March starts at 10 AM along Liberty Avenue, featuring an array of community-led floats and performances. The procession will travel from the Strip District over the Andy Warhol Bridge, culminating in a vibrant celebration at Allegheny Commons Park West. The festival continues with local and national artists, including a headlining performance by Grammy-nominated singer Tamar Braxton, celebrating the power and diversity of the LGBTQ+ voice.

Sunday, June 2, 2024: Pride Festival Closing Block Party - Wrapping up the weekend, the closing block party takes place in Bloomfield near Trace Brewery & COBRA from 2 PM to 8 PM. This event features a dynamic lineup of local and emerging artists, including Manny DiBiachi, Heading North, and the Be Gay (Do Crime) Drag Collective. The festival concludes with a performance by TikTok sensation The Real X Man, capturing the celebratory spirit of the community.
