Gran Canaria Gay Bars

Following its huge success in the Sitges gay scene, the Parrots Group venture to a new location in Gran Canaria.

Located on the ground floor of Yumbo Center, Parrots is a great place to sit outside and people-watch with a cocktail in hand. The bar serves over 50 cocktails and a wide variety of beers and other refreshments. Guests can also catch drag shows and DJs on the weekend.

Adonis is a gay bar that has been a part of the Yumbo Center since 1996. It's a friendly German bar that serves beer, sangria and homemade cocktails. They offer fresh Veltins and their best-selling Gaffel Kolsch on tap.

The bar is very popular in the summer months, particularly during Pride. 

Bar Diamonds in Yumbo Center offers great drinks at reasonable prices from a great management team offering a friendly welcome. Check out the excellent cabaret performances on Friday nights and other occasional special events.

Bar Diamonds is located on the ground floor and has a southwest-facing patio area that is a great place to enjoy an afternoon cocktail.

Opened in 2016, Mardi Gras Bar, located on the ground floor of the Yumbo Center, offers a warm welcome to all.

The bar offers a great selection of fairly priced, refreshing cocktails and other amazing drink deals, as well as a tasty brunch menu. Mardi Gras has themed nights every week, too! The staff are also super welcoming and friendly. 

Small, friendly gay bar/café located on the first floor of Yumbo Centre, Playa del Ingles.

The crowd at Junior is mostly local and usually mixed. Occasionally hosts cabaret and drag shows. Open 7:30pm-3am.

Coco Loco is a vibrant, late-night music gay bar located on the 2nd floor of the Yumbo Center, right next to Terry Show Bar.

Known for its lively atmosphere, the bar attracts a mixed, predominantly young crowd and features friendly, English-speaking staff. It's the perfect spot for those looking to dive into some energetic nightlife madness.

Buddies bar is a long-running gay bar & restaurant, owned by Joseph and Andres. Buddies Bar serves food and drinks from 10am.

Quiz Night on Thursdays and the quintessentially British Roast Dinner on Sundays. Free WiFi available.

Spartacus Bar, a long-standing gay bar in the Yumbo Center, offers a welcoming outdoor terrace perfect for evening conversations.

Run by Mirko, Andreas, and their dedicated team, guests can expect warm hospitality, friendly service, and fantastic cocktails. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance, lively enough for energy yet quiet enough to chat with friends.

Opened in 1989 in the Cita Centre and later moved to Yumbo Centrum, Zaza Bar has a laid-back atmosphere with outdoor terrace.

The bar serves German and Spanish draft beers, a variety of international beer in bottles and other alcoholic beverages. Try one of their caipirinhas, sangrias or frozen daiquiris.

Peppermint serves excellent Mojitos, cocktails, beer, spirits and other healthy drinks. It's pink, it's garish, it's camp!

Fiction is a "straight-friendly" gay bar on the first floor of the Yumbo Center in Gran Canaria. When we went there last time, the bar staff wore flimsy aprons to protect their modesty - not that we're complaining! 

Bärenhöhle (meaning 'bear cave') is one of the Yumbo Center's longest-running gay bars for bears, their friends and admirers.

Regardless of your size, you can be assured of a warm welcome.The drink selection and prices are great and the atmosphere is calmer than most other places in Yumbo Center.

WunderBar is a gay bar in Gran Canaria, ideal for ending a holiday with a cocktail or enjoying a night out.

Black Lomond is a cocktail bar known for its vibrant atmosphere and welcoming terrace on the second floor of the Yumbo Centre.

Karaoke kicks off at 9pm until showtime. The nightly comedy variety show is doubled up with a second show featuring a fabulous Canarian dance troupe in amazing costumes and routines.

Ricky's Cabaret Bar, located on the ground floor of the Yumbo Center, is the longest-running cabaret show bar in the area, celebrated for its award-winning, family-friendly entertainment.

Nightly performances feature professional drag artists who deliver humor, glamour, and an impressive array of musical tributes from Cher to Britney. Guests can also enjoy a pre-show karaoke session, satisfying those eager for a spotlight moment.

Terry's Show Bar, a staple at Yumbo Centrum in Gran Canaria, offers nightly drag queen shows with a rich history of entertainment.

Located on the second floor next to Cruise Bar, Terry's features a varied nightly program including flamenco dancers, Spanish music, and comedy. Guests can enjoy great drinks in a friendly atmosphere, making it worth visiting multiple nights to catch all the performances.

Na'Und is a lively German gay bar with dance floor, located on on ground floor of Yumbo Center.

Note: This bar closed in the summer (June-August).

Bar Strand-Apo-theke, located directly in front of the beach, serves as a German gay bar where the sounds of German schlager, carnival music, and a mix of international classics fill the air.

Guests can enjoy not only a variety of drinks but also classic German dishes like Frikadelle and Currywurst.
