Recently Changed Ownership, lost most of its charm
This used to be a charming, convenient place to stay when visiting GDL. The hotel recently changed ownership. There is nothing particularly gay about this property any more. It still has large, reasonably priced rooms, and the location is great. But the breakfasts are gone, and the staff are not very competent, making it seem to be a burden to provide any services. They don't seem to be trying to identify as a gay-owned business any longer. They tried to put me in a cheaper room than I reserved, and fought with me telling me I made a mistake in the reservation. I had to find their e-mail confirmations, and load their website on my phone to prove to them the description of the room I reserved. Only then did they try to accommodate me. Housekeeping is very poor, and most days did not clean my room unless I asked multiple times.
