Koh Lipe เกาะหลีเป๊ะ is located within Thailand's Satun province, in the Andaman sea, close to the Malaysian border. The beaches at Lipe have very clear and calm water.
Over the years, the island has become more developed due to an increasing number of tourists. The best time to visit is from November until May. Book well in advance during peak season.
Getting to Koh Lipe
From Bangkok, fly to Hat Yai airport (about 1.5 hours), then catch a minibus or taxi to Pak Barra Pier (about 2 hours). From the pier, transfer to by speedboat to Koh Lipe which takes about an hour. You can pre-book airport transfers online.
Getting around Koh Lipe
You can walk around the whole island within an hour. There are 3 main beaches: Sunset, Sunrise and Pattaya Beach.
The 'Walking Street' has a great choice of restaurants, bars, internet cafés, massage and convenient shops that stay open until about 10pm.
