Oban Pride 2024: dates, events & lineup

Oban Pride returns in 2024 for a milestone celebration, marking its 5th anniversary with a vibrant and inclusive festival. From 30th August to 1st September, the event offers a platform for LGBTQ+ voices and a safe space for the community and its allies to celebrate progress in LGBTQ+ rights in the UK.

Opening Night – 30th August

The festival kicks off on 30th August with a night of live music featuring artists from Oban and the surrounding areas. Join the community at Corran Halls, Studio Theatre for Oban Pride Unplugged at 7:30 PM.

Pride Day – 31st August

The main event on 31st August begins with a Pride March. Gather at Station Square from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM to join the march, which will be followed by a day full of activities including a Community Stall Village, Youth Zone, Family Games Zone, Quiet Zone, and performances on the Rainbow Stage.

The celebrations continue into the night with the Oban Pride 5th Anniversary Ball at 8:00 PM in Corran Halls. Hosted by Dr Bev, who is celebrating her 30th year in drag, the ball will feature performances by Dorian T Fisk, Spotlight Musical Theatre Group, Crystal, and The Future is Queer. This event is for those aged 18 and over, so feel free to dress to impress and enjoy a night of entertainment.
