Finally found this small sauna near the Colessium. Quite crowded from 2-6 pm with a variety of handsome men, mostly over 40. Unfortunately Apollion does not have a proper bar. That would be a great addition. I’d still revisit when next in Rome.

I went on a Friday, between 5pm and 7 pm. Friendly guy at the reception, who spoke English well. I received two thin towels and a pair of slippers. Inside... looks actually quite nice and labyrinth with all the arches. The wet area is rather small, but there is a pool, steam room and sauna. Crowd... there were maybe 30 people, all overweight - and a few spectacularly so- and over 50 years old, but certainly ready to play. If that is what you are into, you will love this place.

Good, clean facilities, busy active crowd, a mix of ages, great dark room / glory hole, friendly staff. I have never failed to be satisfied with the Appollion experience and men there.

Very nice sauna, great staff. Best time to visit afternoon until 7 pm.

I've been living in Rome for 20 years. I know what I like. This is my favorite sauna. My second favorite would be Illumined. I'm into bears and cubs. The other saunas are not for them. I've always been bored when I go to those. I also find the sex scene here more serious. Illumined features a lot of people chatting and walking around and around and not doing anything. Then they all go into the Turkish sauna and have like an orgy but it's so dark you can hardly see a thing. Not into that sorry. Not that Apollion doesn't have the same thing going on. It just seems less essential as part of the scene. Though Illumined does have a much better jacuzzi and bar area. That is not a swimming pool in either, it's a big hot tub. Apollion has a few tables and chairs in front of the porno screens but you must get your drinks from the front desk and carry them there which is not the most convenient. Illumined is also cheaper once you pay for the 15 euro membership card that you can't use anywhere else. Apollion does have a frequent visitor card so once you go I think 12 times the next time is free. They also accept the Andros card which is the same card used in most establishments in Rome so you need it anyway. The important thing to know is that Sauna's in Rome are generally only good from about 3:00 to 7:00. That's all week long regardless of the hours they are open.

If to compare with EMC - great cruising area, very small pool and not many interesting people for fun. Don't waste time and go to EMC. But if you prefer mature unsporting guys you could like there.

Reception young guy was very kind and spoke good English. I never met anyone like him at any other saunas. Thank you!!

I visited on a Sunday evening and it was empty. OK it is not busy at night so I thought I would enjoy the facilities which were nice. But a guy who worked there would not leave me alone! I made it clear his advances were not welcome but he persisted until I just had to leave. A waste of money and I won't go back! There are better saunas in Rome.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy! Most of the guys were overweight and older, however. There was a scattering of younger guys (less than 45yrs) but not many. A few gropey people which is always the case, otherwise generally respectful. Staff were great - friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and nice. You get towels and slippers. They could use more areas for group action.

I went there twice and found the reception guys to be very friendly and helpful. The young reception guys speak good English Facilities and good and clean. Crowd are mixed but mainly middle age men. The place is not easy to find and I got lost on the way back to my room. I will visit this place again.

I was yesterday 6th of august in Apollion! Very friendly, helpful staff! Sauna is very clean and nice private cabins and so horny darkroom! Nice glory hole! Customers were mix ages! In steam sauna good action! I recommend!

I went to this place on March 4th.2016 in the evening around 19.00... not the easiest place to find, but I got there. A tall guy was there , not pleasant at all. I asked to change the locker because a guy was right above my alotted locker, taking his time. Went back to the reception to change and this guy abruptly says NO. A smaller goodlooking kinder guy , took me back to the locker and asked me to just be patient. No the place was empty for a Friday and not worth 30€ at all !!! Left without giving all my info for that stupid15€ membership card...ugh

When there 24/6, before 6, the guy at reception told me that I have to pay 20€ for the card, I know it's 15€, then other guy correct it told me its15€, unbelievable, I did want go in and walked away!

Ah nice sauna, friendly but naughty staff. I did get a massage. I could have more if I would stay longer. I didn't, but not because the guy. He was cute. The best suana to go to in Rome (if you like the bear-guys)

The best sauna experience ever, better than anything in Paris, Amsterdam, Sydney or anywhere in Australia. HOWEVER the staff behind reception seemed to be either extremely rude or so up themselves it was beyond belief

We were here on April 5, 2015. Beautiful sauna is very clean and also cleaned continuously. It's not too hot or cold, music is not too loud or too soft. If I have a sauna would start I would copy it so. Marco and Peter from the Netherlands
