    Britannia Mine Museum

    Britannia Mine Museum is an extremely LGBTQ+ welcoming and friendly visitor attraction, just outside Vancouver. From guided underground tours to self-led exploration of the social history of Britannia Beach. The 10-acre site is itself an exhibit providing unique access to an important piece of Canadian history. 

    The underground tour includes an underground train ride, with working drill demonstrations. There is also the award winning attraction BOOM!, a thrilling light, sound and special effects experience inside the historic Mill. There are also exhibits on the history of the Mill, the area, a Gold Panning Pavilion, Terra Lab, Giant Haul Truck, family play area, visitor centre, mineral gallery and much more!

    There is also a gift shop and Chatterbox Cafe on site.

    The musuem hosts regular family events throughout the year, and a special Pride month event Old Town, New Queens drag show every June, located in the museum itself.
