The church is comprised of "people of many races, ethnic backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations and gender identities." You can explore their sexuality and faith resources here. At the Cathedral of Hope, you can experience Christianity in its most inclusive form.

The Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, Texas, was founded in 1970 as a congregation of the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), a denomination created to serve LGBTQ+ Christians. Originally known as the Metropolitan Community Church of Dallas, it grew rapidly, becoming one of the largest LGBTQ+-friendly churches in the world. In 1990, the congregation moved into a larger facility and was renamed the Cathedral of Hope.

Services at the Cathedral of Hope (Dallas, Texas) blend traditional Christian worship with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, social justice, and LGBTQ+ affirmation. Sermons focus on love, equality, and spiritual empowerment, as opposed to doom and damnation.

Beyond Sunday services, the church hosts midweek prayers, special seasonal celebrations (like Pride services and World AIDS Day vigils), and community outreach programs.
