Good place to meet gay people. Staff is nice. Sexy place. Not expensive

Hello Guys, I would like to share my experience about Crisco. I was there in nov 2018. First I visited this place was on a weekday. Must stay the staff was very nice & friendly. They did really have some small healthy conversation which I really enjoy. The entry was 10€ which included entry and any drink of our choice. Sadly the crowd was missing. There were around 6 to 7 guys till early morning and it was boring. They did play some videos on big screen. I went there again on weekends. The entry was 15€ again with any free drink. There was a naked dancer on the pole. And this time the crowd was much better. It was a mixed crowd. The underground dark room - It was way too dark, one doesn’t know who is entering and leaving. It’s difficult to understand or approach someone. There were few horny desperate guys who were literally jumping on anyone who entered... the place was a bit dirty(very little). I did not experience any bad smell. Many hot guys were there and there was a lot of action. Most of the guys did not talk on the bar or on the dance floor but they did approach in the dark roo :-P. There was no lube or condoms anywhere... many guys doing it bb which was scary...Overall not a bad experience.

The club was fine. They charged me 50 Euros cover which included 1 drink. There were only 2 other customers there. Definitely not worth the cover, especially since locals tell me the cover should have been 10 Euros. They’ll definitely take advantage of foreigners who don’t know the club will like have few to no other customers.

We were there on Saturday night after 1am. The place was buzzing. Good music with a DJ. Nice friendly staff. It's 15 euro in and that includes a free drink. Maze area downstairs. Dark and dingy and seedy and fab! Back bar are with porn on screens. Smoking allowed everywhere! Dancers on the bar pole dancing. Met some locals and tourists like myself. Go late as I'm sure it has no atmosphere before midnight. Lady on the door very helpful trying to get us a taxi home. Thanks for a great night Crisco. :-)

Every bar in Florence needs two things: a promotions manager to get people in, and some way to get people talking. This venue would totally work if enough people went and then actually interacted. I finally asked an Italian why everyone was sitting around and not talking and he said "Italians don't talk in gay bars." What's the point then, since the cruising area was also not happening? I've been in several times and you see people leaving quickly, so the crowd never builds. Save your money and go to one of the many stylish aperitivos around the city.

Awful dirty place. We left within 10 minutes of arriving. Been to many gay bars and clubs all over the world and this was by far my worse experience. Avoid.

We often go to clubs like these throughout Europe and this one has surprised us in a bad way. We were told it was a free entrance as we walked in and they took our ID's to photocopy them and made us sign a document. This place has two floors and it's pretty dark and dirty. The few people that were in there were strange and peculiar. After a couple of hours in there we decided to go since it was really boring and for our surprise were charged 38€!!! We asked them to explain why they were charging us that amount and they said the cover fee was 14 € and the wardrobe 3€ when there were no signs informing of this. It was really an awful experience.

During our trip to Florence we first went to this bar on a Wednesday when it was a normal men’s only cruise bar with a naked party. When we returned on Friday however, there was some sort of party with a DJ and many women upstairs, yet the basement darkroom was still an active cruise zone. If there’s going to be this mix, I feel the bar should advertise more clearly each evening’s theme on their website or facebook page. Many guys expecting the typical men’s only European cruise bar may not be comfortable going only to find women there. With that being said, it still is the only option of this sort right in Florence. On the more traditional Wednesday night we went, it wasn’t all that busy but enough guys to keep things interesting. No complaints about the staff – everyone was perfectly friendly and helpful.

Great place, pretty good cruising area. The only thing was lack of people. Few were there even though it was August, so city full of tourists. Had fun, though, so not bad at all :)

Crisco Club is one of the few options gay travelers have for a "gay bar" in Florence, and one of only a couple "cruise clubs". I read other reviews before going, and was pleasantly surprised. I went on a Friday night, and not only was the club open and "Men Only" but by 1:00 AM, there was over 20 or 30 people, not including the DJ, dancer and club staff. This is a Friday in the dead of winter (February)! I think other reviewers may have gone out at 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM expecting it to be busy, but like many other countries, this club doesn't get busy until after midnight and really not even until 1:00 AM. Mostly older gentleman 40+, but a few 20's and 30's in the crowd. Check the website or Facebook page before going to ensure they are open, and it's "Men Only". Some reviewers noted that certain days it might be a straight club. Again, since other reviewers mentioned it, I'll address the card you get at the door. It's clear some may not understand how this works! The club gives you a card upon entry, which the bartender uses to tally your drinks as you order them. This is so you can leave cash, phone and other valuables with your jacket, which the club checks at the door. You simply pay upon exit. This is just so you can "enjoy" the experience without worrying about someone stealing your stuff. I paid 15 euro at the door and 7 euro for each vodka cranberry (I had 4, so it was an additional 28 euro when I left). Not expensive at all. It is small, so be prepared for that.

One would think that Florence during summer time is full of people, tourists, is a fun city. Can't be more mistaken. When I entered the club, there were literally two other guys (excluding the guy at the bar). Other two appeared later. The cruising area is small, though still larger then dancing area. Total waste of money.
