La Cueva is Copacabana's oldest gay bar, having been founded in 1964. It's a popular meeting place for Rio's older gay community and their admirers, with Brazilian and electronic music being spun until late.

The interiors of La Cueva are what makes it truly unique: you'll feel like you're underwater! Fridays and Saturdays are when this place really heats up. The venue is quite small. It's also located in the heart of the action in a safe area with lots of taxis.
