Our communities before us worked so hard for liberation and freedom from prejudice and injustice. Lives were lost and hearts were broken. Adelaide’s only sauna, our only safe space to cruise for passion, love and lust. This very establishment turned a gay man away, an hour before close. I understand times are tough and the cost of living crisis is affecting small businesses. But to turn a paying client away, during the final hour of service (in the context of an entry special for entry during the last two hours) is ridiculous and a disservice to the people who fought for safe places like these. Waste of commute and a very distasteful interaction with the staff at the door. Won’t be coming back and will certainly be advising others against visiting. Time for a fresh face at the sauna I think.

Hi. I’m visiting Adelaide in mid February for the first time. I’m a fit stocky built 73 year old still chasing other males. Which days and times are recommended as best. Sounds like the Dry sauna and the glory holes are the best places to start with. Thanks. Rick

do quite enjoy this place it is a place just to be yourself, one to go back to this place is clean and feels inviting. The staff are friendly, and helpful for first-time users thinking of going on a Thursday where it is more enticing to be nude.

Staff are friendly and since the latest update down stairs. It is better with extra glory holes , maybe colored lighting and better music could improve things. It is among the cleanest I have found around Australia , I alway leave satisfied and happy,

Just like to say that I have been there many times and not interested in the decor. It serves my purpose well. Get to meet young and older guys and never had problem with staff. I always leave relieved and happy. Last visit was two days ago and wow had a great time in the glory hole. Thanks to whoever was on their knees on the other side.

I loved this place. Des was so welcoming at reception I knew I was going to have fun. The patrons wee excellent and I had a great time. The facilities were fine and I do not understand the. Festive reviews. Looking forward to a good fun next time I’m in Adelaide.

Have visited for over 30 years and still go there. Some staff are indifferent (not physically), but Paul is HOT, and Saturday evenings Colin was/is, too. Friendly and welcoming.

Definitely doesnt stack up against anywhere I've ever been. Music is too low and out of date, the facilities are olddddd, and I cant believe I'm saying it but the maze is too dark... when in a glory hole box you cant even see if anything is popping through haha. Staff are nice enough and everything was clean.

David, I'm glad you had a good experience at 431 but I & Papa didn't. It's not 'bitching' when we 're simply criticising staff behaviour & we should be allowed to. Some of the staff there have a reputation in Adelaide for being rude over the years & should be pulled up about it so the overall feel of the place can continue to improve.

I visit 431 regularly and usually find it's pretty good. It's well maintained and clean, staff are friendly but not overbearing. The guys who go are varied and mostly not too much attitude. Not sure what the bitching is about, I'm not there to shag the staff and I don't need new wallpaper if the men are hot and available.

I asked for a towel and the guy gave me attitude and said "Well you could say please", he was very rude. I took the towel and walked away when he proceeded to talk about me with another customer so I said if you have something to say say it to me. Will not go there again. That's what $27 gets you. This also was my first time there. Way to make you feel comfortable. Very sad and tired establishment.

Been going there occasionally. It's OK, but it really needs an upgrade. The same ol', it's just tired!

Been here a few times. The crowd varies. Facilities a bit tired. However, it's a nice enough place to wander around displaying your wares. I usually head for the sauna and leave well relieved!

Heard about a renovation an a takeover... happened yet!? Anyway i know a guy who was going to put on shows if they did... he's s boylesque star... sounds hot aye well cherrio mates

Always enjoy the comfortable relaxed atmosphere, able to use the outdoor garden to hang free, enjoy the sun on my bare bottom. Steam room always hot and great table for stretches with a pool nearby for cooling nude swim, able to parade openly with confidence. Best upstairs, privacy to explore, make contact, and relax with other bi men.

I'm guessing you must work there Eric? The sauna's terrible. It's poor reputation is well known around Adelaide & hasn't changed for years. The other guy's right, there's no competition here.

After reading some of the negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised. Had some great fun with friendly and good looking local guys. Garden area out the back is small but has a really tranquil feel. Facilities were always clean too and staff treated me well.

The only sauna in town means a take it or leave it attitude from the staff. As there is no where else to go don't expect a friendly welcome from this tired and run down sauna.

The sauna itself is average but it's some of the staff that ruin it. It's never really changed too much over the years, they obviously rely on the fact that they are the only place in town, so why bother changing anything? I've been there many times over the years & also travelled around the world & Pultney fares badly. It's a place that is supposed to make the customer feel good when we visit but for myself & my many friends who go there it never does. Shame, as it could be so much better.
