    St Laurent - Eze
One of the most popular gay/nudist beaches in Cote d'Azur and one of the trickiest to reach. There are no services on the beach, so take your own drinks and snacks.

The beach can be reached by the #100 bus service from Nice to Monaco. Alight at "Parking St Laurent d’Eze", and follow the signposted trail "Castelleret Inferieur" to the beach.

For an even more detailed description, see the review posted by Paul below.

At the beach, turn right, head up the concrete steps and follow the path around to the gay beach area. This is a rocky path, so wear appropriate footwear. The beach (and bus service) is particularly busy during the summer weekends.

Great beach but more difficult to get to

It’s a really great beach. If weather is good there’s always gay guys there almost all naked. Totally secluded unless you climb the rocks and can be seen by passing trains. There’s often some action too, usually on rocks or small beach afterwards but on my last visit on the main gay beach. BUT it’s becoming more difficult to reach. Those who say there are families there won’t have got the right place - you need to go through the broken gate at the end of the official beach and start the climb. Also although you can get wet up to waste by the waves on the way you will never be cut off. I’ve been lots of times over the years and it’s probably my favourite beach in Europe. But if you don’t like narrow ledges with sheer drops to one side it’s a difficult climb in one place. There is an alternative mound of earth I’ve always gone over but this is now just small stones which could lead to a slip. There used to be a rope there and then when that went vegetation to cling on to but they have gone. The narrow ledge route is likely now safer but for people like me is a real challenge, especially on the way there as you see the drop before you get to it. You also have to let yourself down by a rope at the end which I found ok but some don’t like. Some have taken to walk along the tracks above instead but this is both very dangerous and illegal and results in a fine if you get caught. So in summary it’s a lovely beach but I might not be going again!

    DANGEROUS AT HIGH TIDE

We went on the 21st October at 4:30pm and the waves were far too dangerous to reach the staircase that was described in earlier reviews. We came back the next day at 1:30pm and the waves were calmer but we were paranoid that if we crossed then at high tide it would be impossible to return and we would get stuck. I’m amazed no one else has commented this. Apparently there is another way to access the beach but the description isn’t clear and we couldn’t find the access point. Two wasted trips.

    Eze Beach

The 100 bus doesn’t go there anymore. Take the 607 bus in front of church at the Nice port. Get off on “Parking St Laurent d’Eze” Walk up hill on right hand side and take the steps down to the beach. First beach you’ll see is not the one, turn right and continue walking to the end of the beach and take the abandoned looking stairs that go up into the hill and walk all the way to the gay nude beach at the very end

    Cosy beach

Beautiful and clean beach between Monaco and Nice. Take bus n. 607 from Nice for 1.50€ or from Monaco for 2.50€. City tickets for Nice are valid. Take out in St Laurent – Eze bus stop near small parking lot, go up a bit to bigger one with 2 buffets. Find an entrance with a sign of “Danger” to concrete stairs down the hills. There is a short tunnel to the beach. On the regular beach go right and look for a small gate to stairs up and down again. Follow rocks since you'll see a small pebbly beach under a concrete wall. If you go a little further over a small rock, you will find another smaller gay beach with even more privacy. Between the two beaches you can swim around the rock.

    Fantastic

We went to this lovely beach 5x in October 2021 with an average of 20-50 nude gay men each day depending on weekday/weekend. Swimming is divine. The instructions for bus 100 etc are great. Yes, the beach is nude. Yes, the bus is easy. Yes, the terrain is fairly easy, including the rope descending from rocks to beach. We did not try the train, as the bus was so easy and nice views.

    Not nudist or gay anymore

The staircase is completely new and the access to the beach has been renovated recently. It might be because of that that we saw families and a lot of straight couples, and no one doing nudism.

The beach by “Parking St Laurent d’Eze”

Had a wonderful time. This is a most beautiful beach and well worth the trip and hike to get to it. It is a little tricky to reach. Paul and others have describe the route and I will just add a few notes and updates. The number 100 bus leaves from the church at the Port of Nice, (close to the church and on that side of the little park, there is a stop for the 100N across the street from the church and the 100 will not pick you up if you are there. If you are coming from the center of Nice you can take the tram #1 to stop 13, Place Gerabaldi and walk 3 blocks down Rue Cassini to the Port. The bus ride is spectacular and stop are clearly signed. When you get off at "Parking St Laurent d’Eze" continue walking in the same direction that the bus was traveling and you will shortly (~200m) come to an opening in the wall and a small paved path. There were no signs today but the public path is obvious, good and with many twists and turns but takes you under the train tracks and directly to the public beach. Take your time and enjoy the hike from this beach the gay nude coves. The old Iron gate with the center cut away is all the way to the West end of the public beach. The path starts out fine but later becomes a scramble over the rock outcroppings. All very doable and beautiful. There are several coves and you may encounter some guys fairly soon but keep on going and going. All lovely. The return also has a small twist. When you hike back out and reach the road you may notice a bus stop and shelter directly across the road from you. This is for the #83 bus and the #100 will not stop for you. Walk West, back to here you got off the #100 and you will see a sign, no shelter, across the road, for the #100 bus. p.s. Met a very nice guy from Copenhagen, also waiting at the wrong bus stop. All in all a great adventure.

Does anyone know anything? I am in Nice 08JUL - 10JUL and would love to visit that beach. But is it open or still under construction? If so, is there any other nudist gay beach to go? I would be happy for any advices. Thanks alot!

Can you elaborate more on this? Is the beach closed completely and are the nudists now relocating to some other beach?

We have a great experience. The naked people, most of them hot guys, are friendly. The action takes plece at 50-60 m from the beach, in the green area. We enter a group of 5-6 ang have fun.

    Fun Little Adventure

My boyfriend and I visited the beach yesterday, and we enjoyed the trip. We had trouble finding information for the 100 bus using Google Maps, as we only saw buses 81/82/83 as means of reaching the area. We decided to Uber in both directions from Old Town Nice, which cost us about 30 Euros each way. Google also doesn't list "Parking St Laurent d’Eze", so we started at Cap Estel and walked down the hill a bit until we found the small parking lot bus stop. We then continued walking a few minutes up the next hill as directed by Paul's review and reached the stairs. The guys on the beach were naked and respectful.

    Bus 100

Bus 100 isn't in Google Maps for some reason, but you can catch it from the church at the Port of Nice (€1.50, you can buy a ticket from the driver). It comes pretty regularly, so no need to check a schedule. It's much faster than taking the local buses, and you exit right at the stop Parking St-Laurent d'Èze. Then follow Paul's directions below.

    Two different beaches!

You guys are making this confusing... There are 2 gay beaches in the Eze area! One, you have to take the 100 Bus and get off at the parking at St. Laurent. The second beach is accessed by Train, where you get off at Eze.

    Saint Laurent d'Eze

Having visited this beach yesterday, based upon the really helpful information provided on this site, I feel obligated to try and provide even more information to prospective visitors. The beach is great; go! I took the bus #100 but needed a little help working out exactly which to stop to get off. The stop you want is called: Parking St Laurent d'Eze.' Buses display the names of stops on screens. The bus journey is great: stunning views of the Côte d'Azur and a short pass through a tunnel carved out of the mountain. Once you get off, keep walking up the hill on the right hand side (3 mins) and you come to a stone staircase leading down into a beautiful vale. Just follow this Indiana-Jones-style descent until it ends in a beach. You don't want this beach, however. You want to remove your nice trainers (they will get wet, otherwise) and turn right, walking to the end of the beach until you see a broken gate and a raised set of stairs leading up. Take the stairs! Look at the view! Don't fall off the mountainside you are now moving across. In most places, the stairs simply aren't there; it's up to you to keep negotiating a path over the rocks, keeping as best as you can to the right. You'll start to see sporadic naked men. Smile. Don't wave too emphatically; the path across the rocks gets really narrow in places. Eventually, after 5-8 minutes of this most exciting journey, you'll spy a small beach littered with mostly naked men having a lovely time. Join them by grabbing the very helpful rope attached to the rock face and use it to lower yourself gracefully down to the beach proper. Ta-dah! You've made it, Indie. Now, you just have to find a place to put your towel. Close to the rock as possible would be my advice (waves here can be volatile). Also, observe the genius of the freshwater dousing system: by some miracle of nature, a pool of freshwater sits to the right of the beach ( if you're facing the sea). Some clever people have placed plastic containers there so you can rinse the salt water from your skin. Re-fill the container for the next person, please. Finally, and I did not experience this myself, honest, action takes place if you keep heading right over the next set of rocks. You'll see a small path leading up to the train tracks. People walk carefully adjacent to the tracks towards a small glade. Strangers may populate said glade. The whole experience has an air of exclusitivity that makes a visit to this beach seem special. Take care both in the water and out and you'll return the next day. As I did. Xxx

    Nice small beach

Thanks for the good description Paul. Found it immediately. Although it is a very small beach. The path is really rocky and the shore get's really high sometimes so that it's really hard to get there or to get back. Prepare to get wet then. There were some nice gay men and most of them were swimming naked.

    nice naked beach

This is nudist beach for every body, there no officially gay part but it easy to find guy. The action start later once it gets less crowded. By the way I don't understand how it's complicated to explain the way to go to that beach. It's the most easiest nudist beach to get. Take the train from Nice and stop in Eze Station and reach the beach turn left for 5 minutes walking only and your in the naked area. The further you go you'll be more in the gay area have fun. Nothing around so bring water with you.

    there are two beaches

Sam, you have been to the nudist beach in Eze but this one is between Eze and Cap d'Ail at St. Laurent-Eze. That beach itself is not gay, you have to follow the path over the rocks for a few minutes. There is another small beach, this is the gay beach and almost everyone is naked.
