My partner and I have been to Chicago since 1999 and have never been disappointed with the"Windy City". The bathhouse is ideally situated and being customers from England, we have always been impressed with it. My partner, of 32 years, died last year from a terminal illness but not COVID. I hope to be back in Chicago for six weeks vacation in 2022 and the bathhouse is a must on my agenda. Keep up the good work and all the very best now and in the future.

I was in September here. It was my first experience with gay sauna in USA. Very clean and nice people I noticed at the begining. All ages. You can relax or take an action. Private rooms for discrete moments but you can open the door if you want to share with the public. I will come back at this place.

One of the great saunas left in the USA. The entrance fee on weekdays is $30 for a Standard Room. Membership is $7, and the maximum stay is 8 hours. I think that the best crowds are over the weekends after 11 pm. The crowd ranges from twinks to 70 year old mean, from the chubby to the skinny ones, from the hotties to the less attractive, and all ethnic varieties. The music is great (personal opinion). There are many different rooms for rent, it depends on what you want. Glory holes galore on the 3rd floor. Condoms all over the place, bring your own lube, 2 shower heads on the 2nd floor and a few more in the 3rd floor. Guys live out all of their fantasies here. Bring your own sandals if you feel like it. There are vending machines on the first floor and a soda vending machine on the second floor. TV screens are in every room. It can be quieter during the week. The candy factor has diminished compared to other years, but you can still see beautiful guys here. Most of the time you will leave satisfied. There is a smoking section on the 4th floor. I have seen it all, from guys who are plain rude to the ones that spit on other guys (I have seen it twice). I don’t know if it is a turn on or out of spite. I rent a room to avoid all that nonsense. If I like the guy, or guys, I let them in. Some just want to give me a massage, others have other intentions, and if I am not interested I politely decline. I hope STEAMWORKS stay open for many years to come.

Been there several times during Sunday afternoon and once on Tue. Always a nice atmosphere, relaxed crowd and willing to play. Mixed ages and sauna is clean both in the cruising areas and in the spa. Same standards (and fun) you can find in the largest saunas in Europe, it deserves a visit anytime I am in the area.

While the USA doesn't have many great saunas, this one stands out. Not only does it get more people than most gay saunas (its right in the "gayborhood" of Chicago) but its huge and well-maintained. On the ground floor you have lockers, a nice clean indoor pool/jacuzzi, and steam room. The second floor is probably the busiest, with two suckatoriums / slurp ramps with elevated gloryholes, as well as a sling area, gloryhole cabins, and several dozen private rooms for rent. On the third floor, you have a full-size gym with well-maintained equipment, another suckatorium with raised gloryholes, a group of gloryhole booths, and an open play area, as well as again a couple dozen rooms for rent. Guys range from twinks to guys in their 50s and everything in between. Gets busy on Friday/Saturday nights (especially when the bars close around 2am) and there's a decent crowd Sunday evenings. Havent been on weekdays so can't speak to that - but this is overall a great sauna with lots of action!
