met pijn keek ik naar de inboedel verkoop van de thermos sauna.als je dan naar de foto,s kijkt wat er verkocht moet worden dan gaat er toch stukje van je leven voorbij. ik kwam daar al toen ik 17 jaar was en heb daar al twee eigenaren meegemaakt. en heel veel leuke jongens daar ontmoet en nog van sommige nog bevriend ben. ik hoop voor het personeel dat daar heeft gewerkt dat zij weer een nieuwe baan zullen krijgen. en jan K wat zal er nu een gat voor jou gaan vallen wand je was daar elke dag daar aanwezig. Went to this sauna at the beginning of May 2015 and found it temporarily closed. On their website they explain that the place went bankrupt. A real pity!!! However, they intend to reopen, as the place has been a part of Dutch gay history. Check their website and Facebook page for updates.

If you are into old guys this is your place. Otherwise avoid. Staff is rude and impolite. The other sauna NZ near Central Station is a hundred times better.

I have been coming to Thermos for many years and simply love the fact that you pay, undress n lock your stuff, go in and enjoy yourself within a cashless system. Everyone knows what the place is about and everyone should respect the house rules & the moment of time that, whether it is full or not, is part of business. However things do get used with time and management should look at re-assessing/re-invest the establishment with a newer decor and much broader program that attracts a much younger crowd. Hygiene is number one for Thermos & I am sure that they are looking at newer ways of managing that daily on the hour. Well done for a great establishment, I have always enjoyed it all 19 times in the last 15 years..see you soonest.

Some things don't age well. Visited Thermos few years ago and it was the highlight of my visit to Amsterdam. Lots of hot guys, plenty of action to be had. Was in Amsterdam for Kings Day and visited again. Disappointed with the condition of the place. Not so many guys - pretty boring.

Very dirty (used condoms, paper, spit). This was told to the management. Answer: "We cannot keep it clean, since it is open nearly around the clock". Old audience, with some young Asian guys.
