Excellent Men’s Spa on Hanoi

On my trip to Hanoi, I visited Tori spa multiple times. This little gem is worth the visit. It is located in a somewhat private alley/street but is not hard to find and the signage above the entrance is clearly visible. The lobby area is comfortable, appropriately lit, and smells good. Matt, the owner/manager, will ensure your satisfaction and works hard to minimize your wait (both times I went, I didn’t have an appointment, although you can make one). The rooms are private and spacious. I had two different therapists on my visits and both were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my experiences. As for pricing, the rates are extremely reasonable. The 90 minute full body massage is a great value. I will add one additional comment…if you’ve never been to a men’s spa before and are a bit nervous or anxious, let Tori Spa be your first experience. You will feel very at ease as soon as you meet Matt. He has a welcoming smile and a warm personality. Overall, I highly recommend Tori Spa. If you’re like me, you’ll be a repeat customer.

Down-to-alley Spa with great massage

I have visited Tori-spa couple of times by now. Facilities are not fancy but everything is practical and clean for what I have seen. I highly recommend Khang as a massager if you are looking for a high-quality massage - he knows what he is doing.

Amazing Massage

I was worried about how good this place was and as it was down a narrow alley I was even more concerned.if I was honest I was looking for a great massage but also with someone cute. Firstly you can book on their website and it takes you directly to WhatsApp where you can make your booking. On arrival I was greeted by a lovely man who gave me flip flops and asked men to wait. Down came my masseur key and he was so adorable I wanted to look after him. He was lovely. The massage was really good and I felt very ease. If you are in need of a pick me up with a professional masseur then book . You won’t be disappointed.

I've just had my second massage at Tori Spa with Long. Both times were great. He gives a great massage and he is sensitive to know if I am hurting (I'm an older guy), and adjusts the pressure as required. He also plays nice relaxing music. I look forward to my next massage with him.

Won't go back

Not professional at all. They were late even though I made an appointment for 5. The guy who was massaging me do not speak any English. I did not mind that, but what I did mind is he kept on stopping during the massage to translate through his phone. I couldn't relax. He kept on telling me we don't do Happy endings here but if you want one you must pay extra "Don't tell my boss" Is that okay. I just want him to massage me stop taking and wasting time make me feel good. I got better massages from the women who knew what they were doing. And he was it even good-looking. I wanted the owner to massage me but he said he is just as good. After I paid he wanted a bigger tip. For horrible massage.

Great experience

I went to Tori Spa in Hoan Kiem area two nights ago. I was quite late when I arrived, around 11pm. The guy who massaged me did a great job (I don't know his name but had a large radial tattoo on his chest). He did not ask me how hard, but he used medium pressure and he was good. He had to go to see a new customer and call a massuese during my massage but he apologized. He was quiet but effective. I loved it very much!!!

Cozy little spa with great masseurs

Had a 3D2N stay in Hanoi city, wanting a massage before I headed back to work. Tori spa provided great value for a relaxing massage for more than decent price. The place is located in an Alley, (which was slighty eerie to start with), but the place turned out to be decent :). The owner is very receptive on his mobile (stated on this page) , he'l be more than happy to help you with any reservations or queries!

Enjoyable and Relaxing Massage!

During our 9 day trip to Hanoi, my partner and I decided to visit Tori Spa for a body massage on our second day, and we ended up returning 2 more times! We tried 3 different treatments: Swedish, Thai and Vietnamese, and every time we left feeling refresh and energized. The masseurs that massaged me had very skilled and strong hands which made the massage really enjoyable and relaxing. With the wide range of services they provide, they may be short staffed sometimes, so it is very important that you contact them via FB to make an appointment so that they can make the necessary arrangements. The owner of the spa, Matt, was also really nice and accomodating and he was very open to any feedback that we had regarding our massage so if you do have any feedback, feel free to let him know and he will gladly listen with open ears. The spa is located in an alley so be sure not to miss it! It has only been 1 day since we returned from our holiday in Hanoi and we are already missing the massage, so be sure not to miss it when you're in Hanoi!

Beyond Expectation

I did my research on what to do in Hanoi because I had 8 hours of lay over before flying. So I was able to browse Tori Spa and I was convinced by all the reviews, so I booked the service that I want. I message the number that was on the website and he was very prompt in replying, he was the owner and the manager of the Spa, MATT! Very friendly and easy to talk to. You don't need to worry about communication, because his English was superb! I booked for Detox Facial and VIP massage (60 min then I regret cause I want more to be honest, if only time was not issue then). The facial was good and it was done by one of the staff. The massage was AMAZING!!!! Great massage given by the great masseur Matt (the owner since I booked the VIP so that I will have privacy). It was not a hanky-panky massage, it was more than a LEGIT Massage and Beyond my Expectation. The first rub made me say to my mind "YES I DESERVE THIS MASSAGE". Not to mention Matt was really HOT, SEXY and HANDSOME! If you want a great massage experience, friendly staff and great service in Hanoi? Please don't hesitate to book your service now with TORI Spa. I guarantee you wont regret it. Take it from as me as my work requires a lot of physical involvement, I was relieved and it was heaven after the massage. Very basic.

I went there and asked for a one hour shiatsu massage for 400,000 vnd. The room was really very basic and small and with a need of been painted. The massage was not a Swedish one and I’m sure the masseur didn’t know the difference between a Swedish massage and a Shiatsu. What I get was a mix of Swedish and Vietnamese massage. He spent 50 min instead of 60. At the he end he said to me that if I was happy I could tip him but I didn’t tip him because the massage was wrong and the facilities very basic.

Nice little cute spa

Nice little cute spa off the main road, little struggle to find at first but hopefully you will be guided like I was when I first arrived. I deceived to come back twice in a row as I loved the massage that much and it’s reasonable priced, more then what I’ve paid anywhere else In Vietnam but maybe that’s because it’s city prices and not little town Prices. There is a huge range for treatment, so please don’t be afraid to try something new.. I also asked for private room As I can’t relax in group rooms and they accommodated that. So thank you This is a Mens only Spa, so please bare this in mind. Contact them by email or phone to see if they can accommodate women’s friends! But what I know it’s me only spa!

Fantastic!

I went to Tori Spa during the Lunar New Year holiday. As many other spas were closed, I was quite curious to see what it was like. I was welcomed by Chinh, a very friendly and considerate employee. I decided to have the Tori Professional massage. And boy, I wasn’t disappointed! The massage was just what I was looking for and really helped take away the tension from my tired old body. The spa itself is really nice, quiet and clean. All in all, it was a great experience!

The massage was mediocre. Fairly clean but nothing like the photos. No shower offered, and when asked to use, only dribbled. Discount not honoured. Perhaps I went on a bad day, but definitely didn't live up to the hype of previous comments.

Amazingly relaxing

Tori Spa was a fabulous experience. Matt guided me through the appointment process and explained the different massages. It’s down a small laneway on the left side. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly and super cute massage therapist. I was really surprised because I’ve had many massages over the years, but this was definitely one of the best. It soothed my tired old bones and I left feeling ten years younger. :-) In fact, the massage was so good I came back a second time. Can’t say better than that!

It's OK

The entrance to the spa was slightly difficult to find, but luckily one of the massage guys was outside and observed out confusion....directing us into the spa. There were two of us and two of them. One of the massage guys was very pleasant, the other seemed a bit bored and disinterested in being as massage guy. In the end, the massage was adequate. Nothing fancy and no expectation of "other" services which we appreciated. +/- about returning. Overall reasonable in fairly basic surroundings.

Excellent professional massage

Visited 3 times recently as spa was coincidentally round the corner from hotel. Twice I just showed up and I was accomodated though had to wait late 1 evening as they were busy - I booked for a final visit and this was easy via facebook. They even remembered to offer the shower I requested as I was flying home. Staff very friendly and don't be put off by the alley. I was given a private room each time without asking - am grateful for this. Although I tried all 3 massages (there is a comprehensive menu with a variety of times) the differences were subtle. The massages were firm and professional, with modesty being maintained htroughout, and staff often asked how things were going. Particularly liked Duy whose 2 hour massage tackled every spot. Massage times were adhered to and staff never asked for a tip.

A+ skill, very reasonable price

I've tried many other gay massage businesses in Asia and Europe over the years, and often been underwhelmed. Not here! I had an excellent deep-tissue massage from a very well-trained therapist, who was friendly, attractive and intuitive. The surroundings are simple but comfortable and clean, and the service was gracious and professional--no upselling, no hint of looking for tips (and so I tipped generously). If you discuss the style of massage you want before arriving, and get the therapist's name, mention it when you get there to avoid being mistaken for a walk-in (the staff's English is quite basic), and you'll get the high-quality massage you're looking for.

Great massage

Went here with my partner, so I was looking for a genuine massage, not the VIP kind. The staff were great and professional. It was relaxing and there was no pressure for any kind of tip like in some places. Of course, I gave a tip because the massage was great! The facilities are not the best. We were not offered a shower after the massage, which I thought was a little strange. But the skilled staff more than make up for this. I'd definitely go again if I went to Hanoi.

Needed relaxation

Visited Tori spa tonight with my partner. I like strong firm massage and Swee (I think that’s his name - young 20 yr old) did an amazing job. I have had 200+ massages and have my regular Int australia that delivers every time but I think this could be the best i have ever had. Completely professional and very attentive, checking 4-5 times to make sure everything was ok. We met the manager on the way out who was very friendly and genuinely interested asking if the massage was good and if we enjoyed it. Very reasonably priced, well worth the $3000 dong and a tip of $1000. We will definitely visit Tori again before we leave Hanoi. Thank you

Avalon On Sundays

This is the best gay nightclub you could ever go in Singapore. It has the best gay events, great people and wonderful dancers. Service is without a doubt the best you can ever get, and the place is beautiful and spectacular with the night sky views and amazing DJ's. If you are looking to have a great unforgettable time and party like a rockstar (and bring home someone back - you know what I mean), this is the place to be. They have amazing bartenders to entertain you and the dance floor is always on fire. One stop place to have a good time its Avalon on Sundays! :) You won't be disappointed.

Dirty, smelly, staff untrained!!! Go somewhere else.

The worst experience in Hanoi as per massages. Do not even bother!! Their staff is unexperienced and unknowledgeable!! The place has terrible ambience. Once I got in the room, the masseur played in his smartphone some kind of Vietnamese talk. The masseur has no technique (ca 20 years old). Too bad!! The place was dirty and smelly. Staff tried to give some drinks but the glasses to be used were already filled with something that was just tossed outside and filled again with water with no washing.

Good and Friendly

The staff are very friendly and they will do their best to make you feel welcome. I tried the Swedish, Vietnamese and the Tori special. Each has a minor difference of techniques so read the explanation on the menu for more details. I left feeling satisfied. Each massage was a two hour massage. I did not feel cheated on the time. I had two different massage therapist but I want to give an extra thanks to Bảo. The place is fairly easy to find, but it is through a narrow hallway so keep your eyes out on a chalked sign reading Tori’s Spa. Go down the hall and is your first business to your left. If you’re in town in Old Quarter Hanoi and you want a relaxing but professional massage, I would definitely recommend Tori’s Spa. The owner has even come down to make sure I enjoyed his services. Very professional and customer service oriented.

Highly recommended

It was my first spa experience here in Hanoi. I had a massage and a facial which lasted for more than 3 hours. The staff member Bao who attended to me was very attentive and applied the right pressure during the 1.5 hour massages. Value for money and the service was great. It turned out well...thank you Tori!

My Friend and I googled and chanced upon Tori. I texted the spa to find out more after having read some negative reviews. The friendly owner, Matt, assured me and also encouraged me to write a review after. I liked his confidence. So we took the chance and visited the spa. It was located in a small lane but easy to find. Place was very simple and decent. Oriental folk Music somewhat added to the ambience. I had 1-hour vitamin c facial and 1.5 hour body massage. The massage was commendable in terms of skill and touch. The attentive masseur also the spa manager asked me if I was ok a few times throughout the massage. Because I’ve asked for a private room (a personal preference), I was comfortable. I would not have enjoyed it to share the open room (no curtain) with others as seen in their promo pics. On the whole, it was a pleasant visit with friendly, hospitable service received and we had nice conversations with Matt who is quite a traveler and a fashion model in Hanoi. Oh yes, you may want to book him for a massage too although we have yet to experience it. Good luck and enjoy

4 Hand Diappointment

Found the place fairly easily down the alley. Requested a 4 Hand Massage and they called to get another masseus. After 10 minutes he arrived and I was led to a room. One had some training but the other did not know anything and chatted with his co-worker the whole hour. I asked him two times to please be quiet and it only lasted a few minutes and he started up again. Would not recommend as it seems that Hanoi doesn’t know how to do massage. Don’t understand some of the reviews here, maybe they are the friends of the workers.

Friendly backyard-spa in Hanoi Old Town

The spa has recently moved to a new location in the centre of the Old Town. Access is through a long and narrow passageway which is why my partner did not want to got there at first (because many of those backyard-spas have a bad reputation). We were however, very pleasantly surprised of the warm welcome given by the staff. The guys offer a variety of massages (Swedish, Sports, Thai, Vietnamese, Hot Stone) with prices starting at 400,000 VND for one hour. Facilities are still somewhat basic (particulary the shower/toilets), but the excellent skills of the masseurs make up more than good for it. If you come with a friend or as a couple, you may receive your treatments in the same room. We very both very satisfied with the services and also gave a tip of 100,000 VND per person/hour. We will certainly be back on our next trip to Hanoi!

Down the alley

I was in need of a massage as my lower back is always a problem. In Hanoi there are massage "studios": every 25 feet in the Old Quarter. I found this spa on a GLBT website. The facility was located down an alley and not the most inviting. Was I surprised! The staff was so professional and the therapists were all well trained in the art. He found my pain points and relieved them expertly. His soft touch and quiet manner belied a strong swedish massage. Thank you.

Best Massage in Hanoi

We had 5 massages at Tory’s and each one was divine. Do not forget to make a reservation because it can get busy but you can also just show up for a massage. Great male therapists for a male body. Location is very convenient, in the Hoan Kiem Lake Area. Owner is very sweet as are the massage therapists, Tvwee is very good as are the other male massage therapists.

Tori Spa was originally located outside the Old Quarter on Ly Nam De and we moved locations to 17 Hang Be just last week. We haven’t had time to change the décor of the spa we moved into yet- I assume they accpeted credit cards, but unfortunately we don’t. We also haven’t updated the photos on our website yet. While Tori Spa caters exclusively to men I have recently opened a second shop, Tora Spa at 19B Hang Be. This is a unisex spa for men and women. This week has been a difficult week for us as some staff left unexpectedly and we are trying to do the best we can with the team we have. I’m sorry my staff didn’t introduce themselves to you, they are not confident in English. As for the temperature in the room, it’s difficult to get it just right at the moment as the weather keeps changing and we find people prefer to be warm rather than too cold when having a massage. I’d like to assure you that my businesses are not a scam and I take pride in the professional service my spas offer. Best massage ever!

After a particularly uncomfortable flight to Hanoi my back was in severe pain. I decided to visit Tori Spa and treat myself to a massage. Matt, the spa’s owner, personally greeted me and treated me to a wonderful Thai massage. In all honesty, it was the best massage I’ve ever had. His skill in knowing which areas of my body needed the most attention was uncanny. Pure bliss! I came to the spa aching all over and left floating on cloud nine! As a small business owner myself, I understand more than most the ensuing challenges. Matt explained to me that he’d recently moved Tori Spa from its old location and that, due to a temporary shortage of staff, he was providing the treatment. In addition, he’d also recently opened another spa—called Tora—nearby. What’s really obvious about Matt is that he’s a refreshingly honest and caring kind of guy keen to do right by his customers. He told me that even though there’d been a few challenges with the move (and really, what business doesn’t have an occasional setback?) he always tried his best. I genuinely felt this is decent guy striving to offer a professional and friendly experience.

I mean, Wtf? When I arrive I ask if they take credit cards. The guy says he doesn't even though all the credit cards and bank logos are oh the wall behind the cashier. So I track down an atm and return. Confirm 3+ hours of service (facial and massage, 1.000.000 vnd). He calls someone who comes in from outside and tells me to follow this random guy to another massage place next door that he supposedly owns as well. I follow the guy, he doesn't introduce himself, leads me up to the 4th floor of some random building. The room is tiny and has three massage beds right next to each other with curtains. Nothing like the photos at all. They have a heater running full blast, so it's at least 35 degrees. This guy just thrusts these little shorts against my chest and walks out. So now I'm standing in a random massage place with a guy I don't know, having been treated poorly, and I'm supposed to have a relaxing 3 hour massage and facial in a room that is hot as hell. I don't know what the problem is, but it felt like a scam to me. So I walked out. I don't recall ever being treated so poorly in any country I've visited.

Great gay-friendly massage

First of all: this is only a massage parlour. Nothing more than that. If you are looking for some hot action look elsewhere. The 2 masseurs are nice, handsome and skilled and the 90 minutes massage is good value at 480000. The room is welcoming, soothing, clean and warm and very different from the somewhat dingy entrance. In fact, despite the super central location it is a bit difficult to find as there is no name outside. Just look for the number 17 and don't be confused with the Tora massage next door (nothing to do with this one). All in all we loved it very much and we would go there again for sure.

Nice massage

It's really nice massage like rupetations. It's normal massage. I enjoyed oil massage. I chose 90min. 60min 250K, 90min 300K. Nice cost performance! Nice value. I paid tip as normal massage and massuer said "thank you" to me. So polite. Hope to come here again!

Amazing!

My boyfriend and I came here with no expectations. What a great surprise! This was the best massage I had in Vietnam. No happy ending (none expected!), very professional. Cheap price. I tipped my masseur almost 100% of the price. He deserved it.

Excellent quality massage

Rhis was one of the best quality massages I have had for a long time. The masseur here really knows what he is doing and didn well to reduce all the stress I carry in my neck and shoulders. Also super friendly and made me really feel at ease.

A perfect afternoon!

After the hectic streets of Hanoi, I was really happy to visit this wonderful spa to relax and unwind. Matt and his team are so friendly and made me feel very welcome. The spa offers a wide range of services so I decided to have a massage followed by a facial and haircut. I felt amazing afterwards. The massage was so relaxing, I had a cool new hairstyle and I don't think my skin had ever felt so good! When you visit Hanoi be sure not to miss Tori Spa!

Lovely

I visited Tori Spa yesterday and had a wonderful 60 minute massage and facial care treatment. The owner, Matt, spoke good English and made me feel very welcome. His staff were very professional and the atmosphere was very calming. I will go back to Tori Spa every time I visit Hanoi and would recommend it to everyone.

Not as professional as described

I visited Tori spa expecting a professional service but it wasn't. The facial and body massage were good, but the atmosphere created was stressful. The guy doing the facial had another appointment and constantly checked his phone and entered and left the room without telling me the purpose, then he left for the other appointment in the middle of the facial and another guy replaced him without any explanation. That second guy gave me a body massage and it was OK but it seems this place has no sense of how to make a nice atmosphere while doing massage. If you turn up facing the ceiling, the lights should be very low otherwise not pleasant, also a very low volume relaxing music always help. I will not return to the place. I didn't feel I was treated with respect and I told the busy guy when I left.

Relax feeling

Cosy place out of the most tourist streets but still in very centre. At Tori Spa you will feel homely atmosphere as the owner runs the business and also provide the treatments. This special place deserves to be supported by your visit.

My recent visit 3/12/2017

Tori Spa and Hair location a little difficult to find for me at first, I am not great with GPS direction, down the alley and it is on the right cul-da-sac. I had Facial and 90min full oil massage, picking from the menu. Huian(sp) is my masseur assigned, he strength on the light side to my liking, but he has fingers that can dance on my face, like playing on a piano. Overall, I do enjoyed the massage and the facial, very relaxing hours spent in a conducive environment, with piano music playing in the back ground. All professional service provided. My only suggestion is to bring your own towels from home or hotel for shower as you like. Reasonable pricing and I do recommended.

awesome!

Trieu and his staff are awesome! I visited Tori Spa & Hair during my vacation in Hanoi and it was definitely worth it. I had facial treatment, whole body massage and guess what, a hair cut! I only get a hair cut back home in a salon from the hairstylist whom I know very much. I don't usually entrust my hair to someone I don't know much. But because Trieu and his staff did a great job in doing the facial treatment and whole body massage, I thought that having a hair cut by none other than the owner of Tori Spa & Hair isn't a bad idea after all. And Trieu prove me right. I will definitely recommend Tori Spa & Hair to friends. Try visit their shop when you are in Hanoi.
