Santiago Pride Parade, known locally as the “Marcha del Orgullo,” is Chile’s premier LGBTQ+ event. Although dates for 2025 are yet to be confirmed, this celebration promises a vibrant weekend filled with pride parties and events, culminating in the main parade on Saturday.

Historical Significance

Santiago Pride began in 1999 as a small protest movement with a few hundred attendees. It has since grown into one of South America’s largest Pride marches, drawing over 100,000 participants.

Parade and Celebrations

• Main Parade: The parade features a lively procession through the streets, showcasing the diversity and spirit of the LGBTQ+ community.
• Post-Parade Events: After the parade, head to Plaza de Los Heroes for concerts and speeches. The celebrations continue with epic pride parties across Santiago’s gay bars and clubs.

 

Simultaneous Celebrations Santiago Pride is celebrated simultaneously in Concepción and Valparaíso, making it a nationwide event.
