The lovely pool offers great sea views. Location-wise, Villa Konstantin is a 700-metre walk downhill to Mykonos Town. Free parking is available if you plan to rent a car. This resort has a loyal following of gay travelers, so you can expect great service from the completely gay-friendly, helpful staff.

If there was such a thing as 'Mykonos style', then Vencia would be a shining example. Inside the white Aegean buildings are beautifully simple, comfortable guest rooms, each with a spectacular view from its balcony. Great-value resort on the outskirts of Mykonos Town with beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. The gay bars, restaurants and chic shopping areas around the Old Port are just a 15-minute walk downhill. Bright, comfortable rooms feature satellite TV, WiFi, minibar and balcony. The more spacious Superior Rooms and suites have larger balconies with either pool or sea views. Andronikos has a large saltwater pool surrounded by a sun terrace with comfortable, cushioned sun loungers and daybeds. Drinks and snacks are available all day from the Orange Blue Bar. There's also a small gym and a spa.

If the purpose of your holiday is to chill out on the beach all day, then the Royal Myconian could be for you. Located on a hill overlooking Elia Beach, this luxury resort has a beautiful pool with sea views. Guest rooms are large and feature LCD TV, minibar, safe with views over the sea. Superior rooms with outdoor jacuzzi are particularly special. The resort provides free bus services to/from Mykonos Town (last bus at midnight). During our stay at the Royal Myconian, we found that at least one of the concierge staff was very knowledgeable about the local gay scene.

Many suites have fabulous views of Elia Beach and the Aegean Sea, while open directly onto the pool & terrace. Shuttle service to Mykonos Town available, although a rental car will give you more flexibility.

Located in a quieter part of Mykonos Town, the great-value boutique hotel Fresh is just a few minutes' walk from the best restaurants and gay nightlife, so no need for taxi after a night out. Damianos is located just 50 metres from a bus stop, from which you can catch a bus to the gay-popular Elia Beach.

An associate hotel of the XLSIOR gay circuit festival, the Mykonos Princess is located next to the clear waters of Saint Stefanos Beach, a 10-minute drive from Mykonos Town and the airport. Each guest room features free WiFi, satellite TV, minibar and safe. There is an outdoor pool, restaurant, spa and wellness centre. Orpheas Rooms is a nice budget hotel, located in the centre of Mykonos Town, just short walk from the gay bars, the windmills, the bus stop to the beach and many shops and restaurants. Compact, modern en suite guest rooms feature air conditioning, free WiFi and tea & coffee-making facilities. Some rooms have a small balcony with a view over the town.

Sunrise Hotel is located on Agrari Beach, just a 5-minute walk along the coastal path to the gay/nudist end of Elia Beach. The hotel offers comfortable, spacious rooms, each of which has a terrace, excellent sea views and free WiFi. Sunrise has a swimming pool and a beautiful beach of its own. There is a regular bus service to Mykonos Town or you can hire a car or moped (free parking). This popular hotel tends to become fully booked very early.

Fabulous little hotel on the relatively secluded Kalo Livadi beach. From here, it is a 10-minute drive to Elia Beach and about a 20-minute drive to the gay nightlife in Mykonos Town. The Pietra E Mar has its own private beach, a nice fresh-water swimming pool with sun loungers and an à la carte restaurant. All 30 Cycladic-styled guest rooms are tastefully decorated, each offering free WiFi and a balcony with excellent views of the Aegean Sea.

The Boheme Mykonos is a luxury 5-star hotel located near Mykonos town. This is an adult-only hotel that provides amazing panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the nearby Delos Island. A great option for beach lovers, but book early if you want to stay here.
