SS Rotterdam
Fancy trying something distinctively different? Â The SS Rotterdam, launched in 1958, was the last great Dutch "ship of state", employing the finest artisans from the Netherlands in her construction and fitting out process.
The ship sailed until 2000 when she was restored and fitted out as a floating hotel and museum, now permanently moored in Rotterdam.
Guests can experience Rotterdam from a unique perspective - spending the night in an authentic, elegant 1950's air-conditioned en suite guest room with free wired internet access, LCD TV, coffee & tea maker. The experience extends to the food, as there are two excellent restaurants on the ship.
The SS Rotterdam is moored on the River Maas on the opposite side to the city. A free shuttle service is provided to the metro stop. Water taxi, tuk-tuk service and bicycles are also available.
