It has become a symbol of progressive politics and LGBTQ+ protest in Georgia, following a police raid in 2018 that sparked mass protests. Known for its underground vibe and two distinct rooms, Bassiani offers an intense techno experience in its main concrete cavern, while Horoom, its upstairs space, is known to be a distinctly queer venue. Bassiani ensures safety by vetting ticket buyers.
