Bar & events/performance space run via a worker's co-op. Membership is required, but signing up is easy and costs a pound. Not a gay bar, but Wharf Chambers is very popular with the local LGBT and considered to be a safe space for trans people.

It's a very bohemian, arty space that's popular with media types, students, etc. It can get very busy on club nights at weekends. Worth checking out if you're looking for somewhere a bit edgy.
