The center features an outdoor amphitheater, playground, and large tanks for rehabilitating sea turtles. There is also the Coastal Georgia Galleries, which  showcase catch-exhibit-release animals, including baby alligators, loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings, and more. The knowledgeable staff provides fascinating insights into rescuing and caring for these creatures, and touch tanks let you get hands-on with some animals.

The Gray’s Reef Exhibit offers an immersive experience with 360-degree photos, videos, and live footage, bringing the underwater sanctuary to life. For kids, the Sea Camp offers a hands-on marine biology experience through beach activities, field trips, and nature explorations.

Adults and children alike can join the Walks, Talks, and Treks series, including Beach Walks, Marsh Treks, Sift ‘N’ Seine, and Turtle Talks, to learn more about the local ecosystem and its inhabitants.

The Tybee Island Lighthouse has been a beacon for mariners for over 270 years. Today, visitors can climb the 178 steps to the top for breathtaking 360-degree views of the island. The lighthouse offers special sunrise and sunset tours during the summer and a festive Christmas event in winter.

Apart from climbing the lighthouse, you can also explore the Light Keeper Cottages to get a glimpse into the lives of the lighthouse keepers. A short walk away, the Tybee Island Museum showcases over 400 years of history, from Native Americans and pirates to the Spanish-American War. This is a must-see for history buffs who want to learn about the island's history while enjoying a stunning view.

The historic Tybee Post Theater operated as a cinema for soldiers posted in the now Fort Screven Historic District from 1930 to the mid-1960s, when it closed. The theater was reopened in 2015 as a performing arts and movie venue.

Tybee Post Theater hosts first-run, classic, and children’s films, live music, comedy performances, lectures, and dance shows. It's a beloved spot for both residents and visitors, providing an intimate setting for diverse cultural events.

The tour lets you bask in the breathtaking views of Tybee’s coastal waters, historic lighthouses, and Fort Pulaski while dolphins play next to the boat. The tours offer something for everyone, including enchanting sunset cruises. Keep in mind, though, that dolphins don't always show up so manage your expectations.

Sea Wolf Tybee is a casual, trendy restaurant known for its fresh seafood, creative cocktails, and lively atmosphere. Located just a short drive from Savannah, it’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

The menu features a variety of seafood dishes like oysters on the half shell, shrimp and grits, and fish tacos, along with non-seafood options like loaded hotdogs, burgers, and salads.

We suggest enjoying a "Salty Dog" or "Tybee Tea" on the large outdoor patio or in the spacious indoor dining area. And pro tip? Arrive early, as Sea Wolf Tybee does not currently accept reservations and can get busy during peak season.

Zunzibar is a beach-themed bar on Tybee Island serving handcrafted cocktails, frozen drinks, wine, and a variety of beers. Enjoy award-winning Zunzi's sandwiches, wings, and bar bites in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. If you want to catch happy hour, drop by the bar between 5 and 7 PM.
