    Blue boy

Booooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnnnnngggg with endless tacky drag show catered to the few tourists. Overpriced drinks. Used to be wild and fun. Now just boring. The old disco was more fun and used to be packed!!! We don’t need endless drag show. Change the record and reinvent!!!

    Forget It

Have traveled around the world and seen so many fabulous bars. This has to be one of the worst ever. We were asked for money before entering with a complimentary drink. What we wanted (scotch and water) was not available as they had ‘ no water’.They smoke inside and when we arrived at 11 pm they were rehearsing the show and there were no other patrons. The most sad bar I have ever been to anywhere in the world.

    Not crowded

Was there 14 June 2018, arrived around 11 pm. Less than 5 people and about one hour later, more people are coming but still not that crowded, no more than 20, I think. The ladyboy in front wouldn't allow us to have a look inside before we pay for the entrance fee of 38 rm each.

    YASSS!!!

Your quintessential KL *dive* bar with fabulous drag queens. The ladies really put on quite a show - top 40s, broadway, Whitney, Celine, you name it.. place looks great after a recent renovation. Come if you're free-spirited. Park your judgment at home, this is *not* a mainstream club. p.s. - on Fri & Sat there are two sets of performances, at 12.30am & 1.30am. Timing is everything!

    arrogance is in the air

Had bad experience with the owner (we think he's the owner or maybe the one managing the place) who was very arrogant. Never will we come here, after all, the club is not that classy, and the cover charge is also unreasonably high.

    Need more people

The place and the setting has potential to be a nice club but there were not that many people. The drag show though needed to be updated with more current tunes and better lip-syncing.

    Cover charge too high

Had to pay 45 rm entrance fee 2 drinks. I think BB tries to scam foreigners. Well if so you will not see me there again ..

    Bad experience.

Was shock to see the pathetic state of not only the service given but also the people who visit the place. Most are really old guys who behave like idiots. Would definitely not go back again.

    Nice bar

It is very easy to find it. Location is good. Clean And you pay 28 RN. For two drinks. Its nice. The decoration is good. I hope all gays come because the only problem is that there is no a lot of gays. It was almost empty. I was there at 22:00. I didnt like the music. I like pop and rNB. It was just like 80 music old music.

    Blue Boy open again

As the owner told me, Blue Boy was closed in June for a big renovation. I just have been there now and it really looks great. Same place, but completely different. Also the staff where very friendly with me.

    Hard to find

I went looking for it over 2nights. either I am blind or the entrance is non existent at ground level, or it is closed. Like others, whilst walking in the alley was I saw lots of rats.

    Rude and complacent

The owner is rude and complacent the staff is completely indifferent to serving customers. The decor is scruffy and in need of redecoration. The bar prices are extortionate.

    Dirty and Rat infested

Perhaps the worst bar in Asia. I was shocked to find a rat tugging at my jeans. The miserable owner is not very welcoming. I only drank bottled alcohol as I didn't like the hygiene standard in the bar and was dismayed that they opened it before passing it to me do I was unable to see if it had a proper seal. The crowd was comprised mostly of old Eurpean bar flys and local lads with a few tragic drag queens that put on a pretty dull show much to the delight of the local lads so perhaps it was better than I thought. Shoot me if I ever go back.

Many thanks for your update. We received a review a couple of weeks ago reporting BlueBoy as closed. Hence marking it as "reported closed" - however we have now removed this.

Not closed at all. Totally fun place.

I have no clue why your site says BlueBoy is closed. It never was. I am there almost every other weekend. Yeah, the first impression is average. Coz of the unkept interiors. Once the shows begin its complete entertainment. The performers really invest a lot of time and money on performances and costumes. Ya. It's not Broadway. But that's not what we are there for. Crowd is mixed. There are new faces every weekend, especially the tourists. Music is decent and nobody really jumps on u on the dance floor, unless u want them to.

    STADIUM is closed for good

South-East-Asia's most raunchy and notorious Venue is now closed for good (May 2014) due to the drug-overdose-death of a partying Policeman. Jakarta administration now finally found a reason to close down this place. Stadium, R.I.P.

    Not worth it

Ugly one word. No matter environment or the people here.
