One of the best dance clubs in Europe, located in a former power plant in East Berlin, Berghain has become an epicentre for club-goers from around the world, with its a huge main floor, superb sound system and amazing lineup of DJ's who pump out the best music.
Upstairs is the Panorama Bar which has a slightly more civilised vibe and excellent city view. (Lab-oratory, a men-only sex club, is a separate venue in the basement with its own entrance and queue.)
Berghain started out as a gay club but now attracts a mixed crowd. Some say that being gay, looking mid 20's or older and wearing darker colours (nothing too flashy) will improve your chances of entry. Arriving drunk are definite no-no's. But once you're in, the experience is amazing.
