Popular Gay Cruising Areas in Mykonos

    Looking for mischief in Mykonos?

Mykonos is world-famous for its beach parties, drag shows, and round-the-clock fun — but if you know where to look, there’s also a discreet cruising scene that unfolds beyond the dance floors and beach clubs. While there aren’t official cruising zones, several spots around the island have earned a quiet reputation among gay travellers in the know.

You can use Grindr - the app will be popping on Mykonos in peak season - but real-life encounters are more exciting for intrepid travelers. As every cruiser knows, the thrill of the chase can be even more appealing than actually doing the deed. What's more, cruising around gives you a perfect excuse to explore this most picturesque island.

Here’s a guide to the popular gay cruising areas in Mykonos.

    Elia Beach (Beyond the Rocks)

Elia is the most popular gay beach in Mykonos — and not just for the sun and sea. Head to the far-right side of the beach, past the sun loungers and over the rocky hill, and you’ll find a more secluded area where things can get a little more adventurous. Cruising tends to happen later in the day and into sunset, when the crowds thin out and the shadows stretch longer.

Eyes tend to wander on Elia Beach. You’ll see some of the hottest gay men on the planet unwinding on this beach, and many will be on the prowl. You may even find yourself locking eyes with someone, strategically placing your towel nearby, striking up conversations and before you know it you’re spread-eagled in their 5-star hotel room.

Super Paradise Beach (Behind the Club)

Super Paradise is home to some of the island’s wildest beach parties, but once the music starts to wind down, attention sometimes shifts to the rocky trails behind the club. It’s not as hidden as Elia, so expect a more casual and occasional scene — but if you’re nearby after hours, it’s worth keeping an eye out.

Agrari Beach (Between Agrari and Elia)

Agrari is a quieter, less commercial alternative to Elia and often draws those looking for a more relaxed beach day. The rocky paths that connect Agrari and Elia are known for being cruisy, especially as the sun begins to set. You’ll want good shoes and a sense of adventure — it’s scenic, a bit rugged, and totally off the radar.

Near Jackie O’ Beach Club (Coastal Path)

Jackie O’ Beach Club is famous for its afternoon drag shows, but once the crowd clears out, the coastal walking trail beyond the venue can attract some nighttime activity. It’s a bit hit-or-miss, but the remote feel of the path gives it some potential after dark.

    Trails Around Paraga Beach

Paraga Beach itself is mixed and fairly tame, but the trails connecting Paraga to nearby Paradise Beach wind through more remote areas that can turn cruisy, especially if you're taking the walk around sunset. It’s not as reliable as Elia, but it’s another spot to keep on your radar.
