Southampton Pride 2024: parade, performers & more

For the first time ever, Southampton Pride is expanding to a two-day celebration this 2024! The event is taking place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend on Saturday, 24th August, and Sunday, 25th August.

This year promises to be bigger and better, with many events and performances celebrating LGBTQ+ pride and community spirit in Southampton.

Exciting Events Await

This year’s Southampton Pride is packed with exciting events, and here are some key highlights:

Saturday, August 24

The festivities begin with the Southampton Pride March, a free community event that kicks off at 11:00 AM from Queens Park. The march will make its way through the city centre, passing the historic Bargate, and will be a focal point for Pride photography. Participants will gather at Queens Park from 9:45 AM, and the march will pause at the Bargate for photos before continuing towards Guildhall Square, where the main Pride events will take place.

Sunday, August 25

The celebrations continue with more activities, performances, and community gatherings. Performers for Southampton Pride 2024 include Claire Richards, Baga Chipz, Sonia and more.
