    Refinery Hotel was once the Colony Arcade Building and millinery studios in the Garment District. It's a short walk to Macy's should you be overcome by the desire to shop. The building was constructed in 1912. The interiors call to mind the building's rich history.

    The rooms have high ceilings and the colour palette is warm. Expect distressed oak floors and creamy whites and dark browns. The rooms feel more like apartments than hotel rooms. All in all it's a great luxury choice for gay travelers in New York.
